Privacy Policy

Last updated 28 August 2026

Clan is a shared family calendar and home organiser operated by HeyStarky (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email [email protected].

What we collect

  • Account details — your email address, used to sign you in with a one-time code.
  • Household & members — the names, colours, roles and (optional) birthdays you add for your family.
  • Your content — the events, tasks, routines, meal plans, lists and photos you create or upload.
  • Connected accounts — if you connect Google, Microsoft or Apple/iCloud, we read the calendar events, tasks and reminders you authorise, so they can appear in Clan.
  • Basic technical data — standard logs needed to run and secure the service.

How we use it

Only to provide Clan to you: showing your calendar, syncing what you connect, sending the reminders you enable, and keeping your household's data available across your devices. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Google, Microsoft & Apple data

You choose whether to connect these accounts, and you can disconnect at any time. Access credentials are encrypted at rest and are never exposed to your browser or other households.

Clan's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google calendar and task data solely to display and organise it inside Clan for you, and we do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide the service or as required by law.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run Clan: Supabase (database, authentication and file storage), Railway (application hosting), Open-Meteo (weather), and, only if you use the AI Sidekick, Google (Gemini) (to read a photo you submit and extract events). They process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.

Children's information

Clan is designed for a parent or guardian to organise their household. Any information about children is added and controlled by the adult who manages the household. Clan is not intended for children to create their own independent accounts.

Your choices & deletion

You can edit or remove your content at any time, disconnect any linked account, and request deletion of your household and all associated data by emailing [email protected]. Disconnecting a linked account removes the data Clan pulled from it.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; we'll revise the date above when we do. Continued use of Clan means you accept the current version.
